Step by step: how to post to LinkedIn from ChatGPT
Connect LinkedIn in SimplePost
Open Accounts → Connect account → LinkedIn and sign in with the profile you want to post from.
Install SimplePost in ChatGPT
Open the SimplePost listing in ChatGPT, select + to install, then sign in and approve access with the same SimplePost account.
Give ChatGPT the raw material
Share your notes, the audience and anything that must stay exact, such as numbers or product names. Ask for a LinkedIn-length post.
Prompt List my SimplePost accounts. Write a LinkedIn post for my profile from these notes: we cut onboarding from 12 minutes to 3 by removing two forms. Open with the result, explain the two changes in short paragraphs, end with a question. No hashtags, under 1,300 characters.
Preview the feed card
Ask for a preview. Check the first two lines, which LinkedIn shows before "see more", and ask for edits in plain language.

Publish or schedule
Say whether to publish now or at a time, and the visibility if it should not be public. ChatGPT creates the post in SimplePost.
Prompt Schedule it for Tuesday at 08:30 Europe/London, visible to everyone.
Check the result
After the time passes, ask ChatGPT for the result. SimplePost returns the LinkedIn post link or the reason it failed.

Before you schedule
Check these details
- The post targets your LinkedIn profile account, not another network.
- The first two lines work on their own before "see more".
- It is under 3,000 characters, and any images are up to 9 (or one video up to 200 MB).
- Visibility is what you want: public or connections only.

Troubleshooting
If something gets in the way
ChatGPT cannot see LinkedIn
Connect LinkedIn in the SimplePost web app, then ask ChatGPT to list accounts again.
The post went public but should not have
Say "visible to connections only" when scheduling; public is the default. A published post's visibility is changed in LinkedIn.
The LinkedIn connection expired
Use Reconnect in SimplePost Accounts, then Edit and Retry the failed post.
