Yes, for Business and Creator accounts. Connect Instagram in SimplePost, install the SimplePost plugin in ChatGPT, and attach your image or video in the chat. Workflow
Step by step: schedule Instagram posts from ChatGPT
Connect Instagram in SimplePost
Open Accounts, choose Connect account → Instagram and sign in to the professional account. SimplePost uses Instagram Login with publishing permission. Installing the ChatGPT plugin alone does not connect Instagram.
Install the SimplePost plugin in ChatGPT
Open the SimplePost listing in ChatGPT, select + to install, sign in with the same SimplePost account and approve access. Start a new chat with SimplePost enabled.
Attach the media and ask for a caption
Attach the photo, carousel images or video in the message. ChatGPT passes attached files to SimplePost's upload tool. Ask for the caption with your constraints.

Save a draft and check the preview
Ask for a draft and a preview. The preview widget shows the frame, the carousel and the first line of the caption. If an image is not JPEG or has the wrong ratio, SimplePost says which rule failed.

Schedule with an exact time
Confirm the account, caption, media, date and timezone, then schedule that draft. A scheduled post is queued in SimplePost and published by SimplePost when it is due.

Check these details
- The account is the professional Instagram account you meant to use.
- Every image is JPEG, under 8 MB, and between 4:5 portrait and 1.91:1 landscape.
- Carousel videos are 60 seconds or shorter; a single video will be published as a Reel.
- The caption is under 2,200 characters and the hook works in the first line.
- The date, time and timezone are the ones you intended.

Troubleshooting
If something gets in the way
No Instagram account appears
Connect it in the SimplePost web app, then ask ChatGPT to list accounts again. Use the same SimplePost login in both places.
The attachment was not used
Attach the file in the same message as the request, or share a public URL. If ChatGPT cannot pass it, upload the media in the SimplePost web composer and let ChatGPT write the caption.
Instagram rejected the media
PNG images, 9:16 story images and files over 8 MB are the usual causes. Export a JPEG at 4:5 or 1:1 and try again.

Yes. A post with one video is published as a Reel. The video must be 3 seconds to 15 minutes long, MP4 or MOV, with H.264 or HEVC video.
Can ChatGPT post Instagram Stories?
