What you need
- OpenClaw with plugin and MCP support.
- A SimplePost account on the free trial or any paid plan, with social accounts connected in the web app. The MCP route needs no SimplePost API key.

- Give the agent the SimplePost skill: how to publish, schedule, draft and inspect posts without inventing IDs or retrying unsafely.
- Publish or schedule on your connected accounts from any channel you use to talk to OpenClaw.
- Check the calendar and manage drafts and scheduled posts.
- Report per-account results, including partial failures in threads.
It works through SimplePost's social media MCP server. OpenClaw cannot connect social accounts, read engagement analytics or change posts that are already published; those stay in the SimplePost web app or on the network.
Setup
Set up SimplePost in OpenClaw
Option A: install the ClawHub bundle
Installs the skill and the hosted MCP configuration together.

Use this if you only want the tools.

Finish sign-in in the browser. If OpenClaw asks for the returned code, run openclaw mcp login simplepost --code <code>. Treat the code as a credential.

Authentication
Sign-in, permissions and tokens
- Both options use OAuth with the hosted server. No API key is stored in OpenClaw's configuration.
- The authorization code returned during manual login is a one-time credential; do not paste it into shared chats.
- Tokens expire after 90 days; run openclaw mcp login simplepost again when needed.

OpenClaw is useful for recurring publishing. Keep a human review step by asking for drafts.
Every Friday at 16:00, collect the three most important updates from our changelog and save a SimplePost draft for LinkedIn and Telegram. Send me the preview here.
Result: The agent saves the draft in SimplePost and replies with the preview text.
Looks good. Schedule it for Monday 09:00 Europe/Berlin.
Result: The draft is scheduled; the agent confirms the exact time and accounts.
On Monday after 09:05, check the results and tell me if any account failed.
Result: The agent inspects the post and reports per-account results.

All ten hosted networks work the same way from OpenClaw: X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and Telegram. These platform guides are most relevant here:
- Schedule Telegram posts with AIChannel and group messages, albums of up to 10 items and reply chains through your own bot.
- Schedule LinkedIn posts with AIPersonal-profile posts with up to 9 images or a video, visibility settings and a feed preview.
- Schedule X (Twitter) posts with AIPosts, threads of up to 25 posts, quotes and media on X, with weighted-length checks before publishing.

Troubleshooting
If OpenClaw cannot publish
Login asks for a code
Some OpenClaw setups finish OAuth by pasting the returned code: openclaw mcp login simplepost --code <code>.
The agent posts to the wrong account
Ask the agent to list accounts first and name the target account in your instructions. The skill forbids guessing account IDs.
Plugin install finds no package
Use the direct MCP option, or check the package page on ClawHub for the current install command.
FAQ
OpenClaw and SimplePost questions
Is the ClawHub package a native OpenClaw extension?
No. It is a bundle plugin that packages the SimplePost skill and the hosted MCP server configuration. It contains no executable extension code.
Does OpenClaw use the SimplePost CLI?
Not by default. The bundle and the direct setup use the hosted MCP server with OAuth. The skill mentions the CLI only as an alternative for terminal posting, which requires an Advanced or Pro plan.
Can OpenClaw schedule posts on its own?
It can create scheduled posts whenever it acts on your instructions, including recurring tasks. Ask it to save drafts if you want to approve each post.
Which plan do I need?
Any SimplePost plan or the free trial. MCP is included on every plan.
